WORKSHOPPED STUDIO RESIDENCY

Between November 2013 until the end of January 2014, I will be taking up residency at the WORKSHOPPED studio with another Jeweller, Adina Jozsef. The body of work presented during the residency will explore the transitional space of a floral graphic patterns described on the linear 2-dimension to 3-dimensional surface of miniature vessels, earrings, pendants and rings in container like forms. The palette of works is an analysis into surface language achieved by the various processes accompanied by traditional metal working techniques, Japanese lacquer applications and modern technology. Other works exhibited at the studio will include designs inspired by botanical architecture. The ideas revolve around the notion of colour and surface through the synergy of the botanic. This work reflects the collaboration between Jeweller Adina Jozsef and myself. Adina Jozsef in support of this collaboration will have her selection of beautiful contemporary lines of jewellery on display. Please visit Workshopped Studio at 417 Bourke Street in Surry Hills for a closer look at the JEWELLERY WORKS on display and the DESIGNERS IN RESIDENCE.
